    July 16: W, Hawks 87, Charlotte 62

By the looks of things at the start of this game, it appears as if it would be difficult for either team to reach fifty points, as both teams had their problems putting the ball in the basket, but by the end, the Hawks put together a strong shooting effort and tough defensive pressure to stop the Charlotte Bobcats, 87-62, at the Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue in Mike Woodson's debut as the new Atlanta coach.
