ATLANTA, GA - Atlanta Hawks forward Boris Diaw celebrated his 22nd birthday on Friday (April 16) in somewhat of an unusual fashion. The 6’8 rookie from France visited Mrs. Lane’s second grade class at Pace Academy in Atlanta, where he answered questions, played games and signed autographs for the kids.
The event was held as part of the Hawks/Ticketmaster Ballkid Auction. Earlier this season fans could visit www.ticketmaster.com to bid on a special package, which included the opportunity for a child to be an official ballkid during a Hawks home game at Philips Arena, two courtside seats, as well as other unique activities and items. Also, as part of the package, Diaw would a visit a classroom of the winning bidder’s choice.
