Pre-Draft Workouts Continue on Thursday

ATLANTA, GA ----- Georgia’s Rashad Wright and Lamont McIntosh of Georgia State are two of the four players expected to participate in the next round of pre-draft workouts for the Atlanta Hawks this Thursday (May 20) on the Philips Arena practice court. Joining Wright and McIntosh at the 10 a.m. session will be Kennesaw State’s Terrence Hill and Royal Ivey of the University of Texas.

With 14.4 points and 3.0 assists in 29 games this past season for the Bulldogs, the 6-3 Wright was considered one of the best point guards in the Southeastern Conference, as he helped Georgia to a 16-14 record and an appearance in the National Invitational Tournament. He led UGA in four statistical categories: scoring, assists (3.0 apg), steals (1.8 spg) and minutes played (37.1) and was selected the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Year by the league’s 12 coaches. A second team all-conference performer and Georgia’s all-time assist leader, Wright played high school ball at Statesboro (GA) High.

    played on both the NCAA tourney team in 2000-01 and the NIT postseason team of 2001-02. A 6-3 guard who averaged 9.1 points and 2.4 assists in 118 career games, McIntosh was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference’s all-tourney team in 2002, as Georgia State finished with a 20-9 mark.

  • McIntosh’s career stats Division II national championship team, Hill, a 6-5 guard, played only one season for the Owls after transferring from Southern Union Community College. He was the team’s leading scorer at 16.1 points per game and was named the Peach Belt Conference’s Player of the Year as KSU posted a A member of Kennesaw State’s 2004 school record 35 victories in 39 games. In addition, the Atlanta Tip-Off Club recognized Hill as the Division II

    Georgia Player of the Year and the National Association of Basketball Coaches elected him to their 15-member Division II All-American team - the first such honor ever earned by a KSU player.

  • Hill’s career stats Rounding out the list of players attending Thursday’s work is Ivey, a 6-3 shooting guard from Queens, NY. The captain of the Longhorns ended his collegiate career with 1,036 points, 406 rebounds and 300 assists and averaged 9.4 ppg, 4.3 apg and 4.0 rpg in 33 games this past season. He was named to the media’s All-Big 12 third team.
