Hawks Give Fans Special "Thank You" to Close Season

The Atlanta Hawks will hold not one, but two Fan Appreciation Nights, as a special “thank you” from the organization for the loyal fan support shown throughout the 2003-04 season.
The two fun-filled evenings are set for Saturday, April 10 versus Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics (7:00 p.m. start time), and Monday, April 12 against the New Jersey Nets led by superstar Jason Kidd (7:30 p.m. start time).
The April 10 contest against Boston features a special post-game concert by EMI Gospel recording artist Smokie Norful. The show is free for anyone holding a game ticket. Throughout his young career, the award-winning Norful has garnered such honors as three Stellar Awards, two Dove Awards nominations and his debut album I Need You Now reached #1 on Billboard Top Gospel Album Chart in August 2003.
The game also features the Chick-fil-A Family Night promotion, where fans can get four tickets, four Chick-fil-A combo meal coupons and Hawks premium items for as low as $59. Ticket packages are still available by calling (404) 827-DUNK or purchase online at www.hawks.com.
A special on-court ceremony will also be held recognizing the NCAA Division II National Champion Kennesaw State Owls and Coach Tony Ingle, who recently won the 2004 Molten/Division II Bulletin Men's Basketball Coach of the Year award. Additionally, the season-long Hawks Mystery Player contest will conclude, with one lucky fan winning a two-year lease on a Lincoln Aviator, courtesy of Atlanta Lincoln Mercury dealers.
Following the April 12 match up against the two-time defending Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Nets, the entire Hawks team and coaching staff will participate in a free post-game autograph session, along with the dance team and mascots. The first 5,000 people through the Philips Arena doors will receive a free Hawks Team Poster Card (courtesy of Sprite).
As is tradition, the players will again give fans the shirts off their backs…literally. After the game specially selected fans will be presented a game worn jersey from a Hawks player. Great seats can be purchased by calling (800) 4NBA-TIX or online at www.hawks.com.
